Authors Launch Wishing Will Change a Life Contest to Grant One Lucky Persons Benevolent Wish

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) October 07, 2014

Authors Daniel Harvell and Benjamin Lund proudly announce the “Wishing Will Change a Life” contest, which will bring one lucky person’s wish to life. Participants can submit one wish per person through the authors’ Facebook page at no-charge until midnight CST on November 7, 2014. The winner will be drawn at random and announced on 11/11, The Wishing Day. There is one small caveat: the wish has to be selfless; the wish must be made for someone other than the wish-maker.

Just as ordinary middle schooler Will Cricket learns of the power of the charitable wish after stumbling upon a corporation of extraordinary wish-granters in Wishing Will (AISN: B00DGKSKOE) by Daniel Harvell and Benjamin Lund, the “Wishing Will Change a Life” contest is intended to impart the same feelings of altruism to its participants.

“Wishing Will is many things – a fantastical, adventurous and mystery-filled coming-of-age story – but above all it’s an exploration of the power of actively pursuing wishes to help make other people’s lives better,” said author Daniel Harvell. “As it turns out, the act of granting a wish not only improves the recipient’s life but also and, perhaps, especially improves the life of the wish-granter.”

As is the case with all wishes, the authors concede that there are, unfortunately a few limitations on their ability to grant the winning wish. “As much as we would love to impart world peace, end global hunger and eliminate diseases, we aren’t nearly as magical as the characters in our book,” said author Benjamin Lund. “We ask that participants keep their selfless wishes to a level that we’ll be able to grant. For example: Do you have a relative who can’t afford to travel to see a family member? Is there a classroom that needs new school supplies? Do you have a tireless volunteer in your community who deserves to be pampered? There are a lot of good people out there who deserve to see wishes like these granted.”

“For practical reasons, we have to initially cap the value of the winning wish at $ 500,” said Harvell. “But Benjamin and I will use all of the proceeds from the Wishing Will book sales over the next month to increase our ability to enhance the selfless wish of our winner … or maybe even choose multiple winners. I have a strong feeling that we’re going to have a great deal of support in our efforts to grant noble wishes and that we’ll be able to do more good than anyone, including ourselves, anticipates.”

Wishing Will is on sale exclusively at The e-book is normally priced at $ 2.99 but will be discounted to just $ .99 from October 7 – 13, 2014 in celebration of the “Wishing Will Change a Life” contest. The cost of the paperback version is $ 12.99. For e-readers without a Kindle, don’t worry—just download the Kindle app onto your smart tablet or phone and then download and read the book as normal.

About Wishing Will:

Outcast middle schooler Will Cricket wants a new look, popular friends, cool parents and enough coordination to dribble a basketball – but he never actively pursues any of it. Instead, Will makes wishes.

When the magical wishing corporation known as the Sky Castle Network and Enterprises (a.k.a. the SCENE) agrees to grant him his ultimate wish to be someone different, he must work for his reward. Becoming a super-powered agent for the organization, Will teams up with a celestial wish agent with delusions of Hollywood stardom, a shape-changing half-Genie, a narcoleptic Dreamweaver and a stick-in-the-mud wish lawyer.

Together, they grant the wishes of Will’s classmates and family members, helping the same people who pick on Will every day. As if these challenges weren’t enough, there’s a mystery surrounding his peculiar grandmother and a malevolent force bent on enslaving humanity. Will might have to fight not only for his wish but also for the entire world!

About Daniel Harvell:

Daniel Harvell is author of the middle grade contemporary fantasy novel Wishing Will, which was named by as a “hot new release” for children’s fantasy coming of age novels during its debut in July 2014. His first novel, The Survivors, was a #1 download for “superhero” fiction at in July 2013 and maintains a five-star rating. NBA Star, Dwyane Wade, Marries and His Prenuptial Agreement Reveals Secrets About His Life and Divorce Asset Protection Opines

Newton, MA (PRWEB) October 14, 2014

With theUnited States National Basketball Association (NBA) officially entering preseason mode, the two teams drawing most of the attention are the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat. Superstar power forward Lebron James is currently in Rio de Janeiro for an exhibition game against his former team, but he is not the only one getting Brazilian basketball fans excited. Dwyane Tyrone Wade Jr., the ten-time All-Star guard of the Miami Heat is also drawing attention as one of the players to watch this season (1).

Wade arrived in Brazil a married man. As reported by CBS News, Wade walked down the aisle for the second time in his life; this time he tied the knot by marrying Gabrielle Union (2), a stunning and gifted actress who has appeared in films such as Love and Basketball, Bad Boys III and She’s All That. For the beautiful Union, marrying Wade also meant a second walk down the aisle; however, this time she wanted to make sure that her ducks were in a row.

Both Wade and Union are very successful celebrities. Wade has helped the Miami Heat win the NBA Finals on three different occasions (3), and he has been a starter in the last four NBA finals. In 2008, Wade brought back a gold medal for the U.S. that he earned with his teammates during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In addition to being one of the most celebrated NBA players of the 21st century, Wade is also known to be a dedicated businessman who handles lucrative endorsement deals and negotiates his own NBA contracts with a clear vision of his financial future. Aside from endorsing Nike basketball shoes, Wade has also launched his own line of socks and neckties (4). When adding up his contracts, salaries, performance bonuses, endorsement deals and investments, Wade’s net worth could easily reach $ 100 million (6).

Union, for her part, is no slouch when it comes to earning her keep as a Hollywood celebrity. ABC News has estimated her net worth to be around $ 12 million (5). She has been very active in film and television appearances since the late 20th century; in fact, her professional career spans longer than that of her new husband, and although she may not earn as much as he does, she professes to be much better than Wade at financial planning. For example, reports or Union and Wade’s wedding ceremony, which was attended by Lebron James, do not paint a picture of lavishness (2). By all accounts, it was a modest ceremony that took place only after Union resorted to full-court press to convince Wade to sign a prenuptial agreement (5).

The lovely actress even went on television and told viewers about her premarital financial planning. Months before the wedding, Union appeared on the Arsenio Hall Show, where she spoke frankly and candidly about her insistence on a prenuptial agreement. Wade may not have been too enthused in the beginning, but Union made it clear that she would only tie the knot once a premarital contract had been properly executed (5). Union explained to Arsenio Hall and his television audience that she believes in an individual’s right to protect any assets acquired before marriage. Besides, Union added, she learned about the need of premarital asset protection not only from her previous marriage but also from Wade’s spectacularly expensive divorce.

Rocco Beatrice of, agrees with Union’s sentiment to a certain extent: “Here we have a smart and beautiful woman who wants to make sure that she will be able to enjoy and control everything she has worked so hard to obtain prior to meeting Wade. On the Arsenio Hall Show, she jokingly mentioned that she had never seen her new husband balance a checkbook and that he took financial education tips from Lebron James. All jokes aside, we are seeing more people who share Union’s philosophy with regard to defining and protecting personal property before marriage. This does not mean that we are turning into generations of tightwads; this is rather a growing movement to make conscious financial decisions.”

Mr. Beatrice is the Managing Director of Estate Street Partners, LLC, a wealth management and estate planning firm that operates; he continues his comments on the Wade/Union prenuptial agreement: “Kudos are in order for Union and her desire to clearly define what is rightfully hers and his; our staff, however, cannot support her choice of a prenup. If she wanted to secure asset protection and control over her property before getting married, we would have recommended that she and Wade each created irrevocable trusts.”

“Our office has seen far too many instances of prenuptial agreements failing to hold up in court,” explains Mr. Beatrice, “there are numerous law firms working on a contingency basis that will gladly take on divorce cases involving prenups. The body of case law surrounding prenups that have been successfully set aside continues to grow, and in many cases the court invalidates these agreements the moment they are introduced. Therefore, married couples are often negatively surprised to find that all the time, effort and many they put into their prenups can easily be set aside.”

In conclusion, Mr. Beatrice states: “We see too many celebrity couples getting prenups when they should be getting irrevocable trusts instead. Unlike prenups, irrevocable trusts are highly unlikely to be set aside since they essentially take the troublesome concept of ownership away from spouses. Should Wade and Union ever get divorced, which is not something we would ever like to see, their prenup may come back to haunt them. This never happens with irrevocable trusts created prior to marriage because their unique asset protection structure. In divorce court, a judge merely looks into an irrevocable trust to check if any marital assets were improperly transferred therein. That’s it; there is nothing for skilled divorce lawyers to attack.”

Aces of Cakes

Ace of Cakes is one of the first reality documentary-cum-soap television shows that presently airs on the Food Network channel. The show depicts the working of a custom cake shop of Duff Goldman, Charm City Cakes, in the city Baltimore of Maryland. It covers everything, i.e. constructing cakes, tasting them with the customers, working with the various vendors and buyers and of course the final delivery of the product.

As the name suggests, this show is actually an Ace among all cake shows. The reality series showcases the regular workings at the cake shop and the frantic activities that surround the place with the production of large number of cakes.

The staff at Goldman’s shop consist of his close personal friends. From the preparation and decoration of the cake to the final delivery, that may be miles from the place, all is performed by these staff members. The highlight of the show is the way Goldman uses the non-traditional and informal methods of preparing cakes, like using blow torches, power saws, belt sanders etc. to construct creative patterns.

Charm City cakes delivered cakes to some of the most popular events like the Preakness Stakes (Horse race) at Pimiloico, Baltimore Zoo, or to the premier of the show Hairspray. In one of the shows, they created a replica of the Radio City Music Hall for the Rockettes. Other notable cake creations are a Hat box Shaped cake for an 80 year grandma. On the event of the fifth Harry Potter installment they designed Hogwarts. They have also created a replica of a shark ray, Wrigley Field, Hubble a Space Telescope for NASA and so on.

In the first year (2006) of its telecast the show was the nominated as the highest rated one in the Food Network’s entire history, and thus came the second season of the show with an hour long special feature on the NFL cake created for the Super Bowl XLI. After the second successful season, came the third season in the year 2007, followed by the fourth one in year 2008.

The show, Ace of Cakes, had been a huge success, and has been loved by all; fans as well as critics. This paved the way for the Sixth season of the show that began in January, 2009.

The show is also broadcast on the Good Food channel in United Kingdom. After the huge success and soaring ratings that made the show the highest rated series, each season better than the previous. It even gave a lead to other similar shows that aired so that they could hog on the success achieved by Ace Of Cakes, such as a series called: Cake Boss. provides the opportunity to research and request free information top culinary schools and culinary colleges for potential students looking to start or expand their career in the culinary arts.

Fantasy Football Draft Day Secrets – After the Draft

Congratulations. Your Fantasy Football Draft is over! Hopefully you got every single player you wanted, and your competition was woefully short on the football intelligence quotient. That would be nice, but we know that life just isn’t that easy. You got some players you wanted, spent too much on some, and absolutely screwed up twice. So, what now? How do you rectify all the errors you made? Settle down, homeboy. This is where you either win or lose your league championship. The Draft takes one day, but there are 12 or 13 weeks of line-up changing, waiver wire moves, trades and bench decisions to make before you earn a spot in your league’s playoffs.

The first thing you need to do now is be brutally honest with yourself at each position. Look at your team and see where you excelled, and where you made decisions like Courtney Love signing out of rehab. If you have too many RBs and not enough quality wideouts, check the overall board and see which manager needs ball carriers. Approach him and let him know you are available to help him out, but do not appear anxious. Do this at each position, but do not over-react.

Next, check your bye weeks. Make sure you do not have multiple positions affected in multiple weeks. I prefer to have my Bye Weeks spread across the board among every position. Then again, if you have Roddy White and Larry Fitzgerald, you could care less that they have the same bye week. You will happily take that one week off at WR to reap the huge rewards they will bring the rest of the year.

Finally, look at the schedule for your players during your Fantasy Football Playoffs. For example, the Jacksonville Jaguars have the third hardest schedule for QBs and the seventh hardest for WRs in weeks 14 – 17. The 49ers are blessed with the second overall easiest schedule in the league for RBs, and the third easiest come playoff time, so Frank Gore looks even better here than usual. This is something to bear in mind as the season progresses.

Just remember that the Championship is won by managing a team, not drafting one. So pour yourself a cold one, congratulate yourself on your draft, and get ready to make all the right moves in Fantasy Football 2009.
